The Seychelles Volleyball Federation has officially announced the four pre-selections for the upcoming 11th Indian Ocean Island Games 2023 scheduled to take place in Madagascar from August 23 to September 3.
The women’s pre-selection for indoor volleyball is made up of Melina Crispin, Nayeli Etienne, Maya Biong, Tania Solin, Petra Richard, Manuella Monthy, Kelly Matombe, Hillary Nourrice, Angelique Adeline, Bryna Sultan, Rona Decomarmond, Marielle Bonne, Stefania Barbero, Vanita Rose, Petrina Victor, Cathrina Simon, and Natifa Marengo.
The defending champions will be once again following directives from head coach Julien Onezime.
As for the men’s pre-selection, it is made up of Steven Bertin, Shain Farabeau, Ricky Vel , Corey Toussaint, Jean-Paul Mellie, Federico Young, Jean-Philip Vidot, Damien Cherry, Rama Lesperance, Sharel Leon, Selwyn Volcère, Kai Weisbeck, Rodney Ah-kong, Alvin Bonnelame, Kevin Roseline, Andrick Cathene, Carlos Marie, Joey Pouponeau, Adrian Cesar, Terry Cesar, Curry Tirant, Nigel Saffrance, Sam Dine, Franchesco Joubert, Daryll Lesperance, Percy Riaze and Darren Young.
According to the Seychelles Volleyball Federation (SVF), they are still finalising agreements with a new head coach for the selection, after the previous one stepped down due to personal reasons.
For beach volleyball, the male players selected are Jerry Lozaïque, Henricko Ernesta, David Boniface, Franchesco Joubert, Alvin Bonnelame and Damien Cherry.
They will be under the guidance of coach François Magloire.
The women’s selection which will be coached by Roy Dijoux is made up of Terryl Songoire, Nathalie Saurer-Agnes, Ingrid Frederick, Antoinette Labiche, Lutra Elizabeth, Jurentha Pierre and Ashline Antoine.
