Jade Micock’s silver leads Seychelles’ campaign in Nairobi

Seychelles concluded the 2026 African Boxing Elite Championships in Nairobi with a continental silver medal through Jade Micock, while teammates Lorenzo Bonne and Sebastiano Pierani faced challenging early exits against opposition from some of Africa’s established boxing nations.

Seychelles’ three-man boxing team – Pierani 65kg category, Bonne 75kg division, and Micock 80kg – took on the continent’s elite at the African Boxing Elite Men’s and Women’s Championships 2026, at the Moi International Sports Centre’s Kasarani Indoor Arena in Nairobi, Kenya.

They were accompanied by coaches Rival Payet and Gerry Legras.

Their participation gave the island nation an opportunity to test its boxers against a strong international field.
