Minister Radegonde and delegation delve into exciting world of marine-based tourism |05 April 2023

Tourism department officials were privileged to delve further into the exciting world of marine-based tourism and explore its boundless possibilities during the recent ministerial visit to the picturesque Eden Island.

On Friday March 31, Minister for Foreign Affairs and Tourism, Sylvestre Radegonde, accompanied by principal secretary for tourism Sherin Francis, director general for destination marketing Bernadette Willemin, director general for destination planning and development Paul Lebon, and district administrator for Roche Caïman Bernadette Rosalie, embarked on a journey to discover the Seychelles' finest offerings.

Commencing at the opulent Eden Bleu, the only business hotel in Seychelles, the minister and his team were granted an exclusive look into the hotel's intricate operations.

The group then proceeded to tour the magnificent Eden Marina, where they were presented with a personalised itinerary showcasing the crème de la crème of marine products.

From Seyscapes Yacht Charter, Sunseeker Yacht Services, Babadoo Charters, Sky Charter Group, Summer Rain Tours, Creole Odyssea, Tropical Island Charters, Navigare Yachting, Offshore Charters PTY LTD, Floatila Yacht Management PTY LTD to Semi Sub Seychelles, the officials were impressed by the quality and diversity of services on offer.

Despite being a full-day tour, the operators and crews' overall welcome was both enthusiastic and hospitable. The visit was truly a revelation and showcased the Seychelles' tourism industry's potential. While there is room for improvement, the visit highlighted the zeal and devotion of the individuals who operate these businesses.
