Narayan XI win opening Women’s T20 Challenge match, GSP 7 reach SCA T10 league final

The first T20 match of the Shrihari Group Women’s T20 Challenge sponsored by Hari Enterprise and Hari Builders was played at the Persévérance field on Saturday where Narayan XI met Roaring Lions.

Winning the toss, Narayan opted to bowl first and restricted the Roaring Lions to a maximum score of 111/8 at the end of 20 overs. Tee Rao (15) of Lions was the best among their batters. Malshini and Vasanti of Narayan grabbed two wickets each.

Upon chasing Geetaben Hinari (31) and Vasanti Patel (20) carried the team to victory in the 19th over. Vasanti Patel of Narayan XI was selected as the player-of-the-match for her all-round performance

SCA T10 league

In the afternoon, GSP 7 reached the final of the SCA T10 League.

GSP 7 won against Narayan XI in the SCA T10 League by 5 wickets and grabbed a spot in the final.

Winning the toss GSP 7 opted to field first. GSP 7 bowled well and removed the Narayan batsmen at regular intervals. Srinivasu of GSP 7 bowled well and grabbed two wickets and this restricted the Narayan XI at the maximum score of 71 runs. Abhijit (41) was the best batsmen among the Narayan XI.

GSP 7 upon chasing the target lost early wickets but a responsible innings from skipper Natraj(31)and Babu (18) paved the way for their victory at the end of 9th over.

Natraj of GSP 7 was named player-of-the-match for his batting performance.
