Hilton Seychelles Labriz Resort & Spa hosts second successful marathon
Following g the successful hosting of its first 10km marathon, the Hilton Seychelles Labriz Resort & Spa, along with partners organised its second event last weekend on silhouette, attracting a big crowd of runners from different age groups.
Organised in collaboration with the National Sports Council (NSC) and the Islands Development Company (IDC), the second event also included music and fun among other family oriented activities, aside of the competitive side of running for the prizes.
Runners from the main island of Mahe, guests and the hotel team members took part in the 4km and 10km races, and they warmly cheered during the run.
The race was divided into age categories – under-18, senior (under 40) and masters (over 40).
In the under-18 category, the winners were Ishveen Paulin and Aaron Malcouzane, while Erica Charles and Yannick Magnan were the grand winners in the senior class.
For the masters category, Vivienne Vadivello and Simon Labiche finished first.
After the race, all the runners were invited to a delicious lunch followed by some well-deserved relaxation time around the resort.
Describing the second event, General Manager of Hilton Seychelles Labriz & Spa Andre Borg said it was another occasion to connect with the local community and encourage healthy habits such as running, especially among the younger generation.
“It has been, once again, a true honour and pleasure to welcome all our participants to Silhouette for a pristine island experience,” added Mr Borg.
