Men’s winner Kumara

Harray and Kumara surpass all to win challenge

Maggy Harray and K. Kumara are the grand winners of the Anse Major Nature Trail 5km Challenge hosted on Sunday by the Seychelles Challenge and Outward Bounds Association (Scoba).

A total of 28 competitors where on the starting line at Dan Bernard, where they had to endure the Anse Major Nature Trail twice, covering a total distance of five kilometres.

In the women’s category, Harray clocked 46 minutes and 21 seconds (46.21) to finish first, ahead of veteran and enthusiast Jenna Valentin who finished second in 46.41.

Visitor Zoe Carter finished third overall in 57.30.

In the men’s category, Kumara finished first in 34.40, pushing Bernard Ngulube into the runner-up spot in 36.13, while Malagasy Hilard Jeromaro finished third overall in 38.01.

The challenge was sponsored by Scoba.
