Andre Wiersig postpones start of Mahe-La Digue swim |19 April 2022

Due to the current weather conditions, German extreme swimmer Andre Wiersig in consultation with the Tourism 3.0 Sounding board, yesterday postponed the start of his extreme swim from Mahe to La Digue.

The organisers had announced that the swim would start yesterday afternoon but have had to re-schedule it for a later date.

The team is closely monitoring the weather forecast to provide for a date for later this week.

This will be the first attempt by a swimmer to cross the 50km water channel between Mahe and La Digue.
