Crushing win for Seychelles over Djibouti on day one

A packed and explosive Victoria Gymnasium yesterday witnessed an electrifying performance by our boys’ basketball team who demolished Djibouti 117-15 in their opening group A match, counting for the 13th Commission de la Jeunesse et des Sports de l’Océan Indien Games.

Among those in attendance was President Wavel Ramkalawan who came to bring his support for our young ballers.

For the 13th Games, Seychelles, under the guidance of head coach Steve Hoareau are playing in group A, alongside Djibouti and Reunion, while pool B is made up of Mauritius, Mayotte, the Comoros, and Madagascar.

From the get go, Seychelles took command of the match, winning the first quarter 34-2.
