President extends condolences to China following plane crash |23 March 2022
President Wavel Ramkalawan has extended a message of condolence to his Chinese counterpart, President Xi Jinping, following the tragic news of the passenger plane crash in Guangxi Zhuang autonomous region.
The crash claimed the lives of many passengers and crew members.
The President’s message reads: “In this moment of national grief, no words can comfort the sorrow of the People of China, amid this unexpected tragedy.
“The government and people of Seychelles join me in extending our sincere condolences and sympathy to the government, the families and friends of those involved in the tragedy.
“The unity, resilient spirit and determination that bind the people of your land will serve as pillars in your country’s journey towards healing and overcoming these painful moments.”
