Author of ‘Jasper’ series releases four new books |13 January 2022

In June last year, Seychelles NATION ran a story about Audrey Lavigne, a young Seychellois author who, through her books, make people discover about Seychelles through her main character ‘Jasper’ – her dog.

When we wrote about her, at that time, Ms Lavigne had written three books: ‘Jasper the Island Hopper; A Day On Mahé’; ‘Jasper the Island Hopper; An Adventure On Praslin’ and ‘An Only Child’s Diary; A New Life’, which is also another series but more for girls 8 to 12 years. It is about the life of a 12-year-old girl living in Seychelles and she shares it all in diaries.

Now the author is introducing four new books: ‘An only Child’s Diary – A sunny Christmas’; ‘Jasper the Island Hopper – A boat ride’; ‘Jasper the Island Hopper – A Trip to La Digue’ and ‘Christmas Countdown with Jasper the Island Hopper’.

For the Jasper collection, the illustrator is Nadia Ilchuk.

To start 2022, Ms Lavigne happily announced to us that her books are now available at eight different locations: La Palme D'or Boutique, Eden Island; Etoile des iles boutique, Market Street, Victoria; Traveller's Edition, international airport departure lounge; Souvenir shop at Le Duc Hotel; Lemuria Hotel; Coco de mer hotel; Souvenir des iles boutique, Anse Kerlan and Anse Lazio souvenirs, Anse Lazio.

And as from February, they will be available at Antigone and Chanterelle bookstores.
