Golf Second consecutive Absa Mug win for Micock |10 December 2021
Winner of the November Absa Monthly Mug, Eddie Micock showed that his form wasn’t a fluke as it came down to his hard work throughout the year to get back in shape.
The final Saturday competition at the Seychelles Golf Club (SGC) for the year 2021 was the Absa December Mug and Micock blazed the field to win back-to-back Absa Mug.
He had posted a steady score on the front 9 holes but caught fire on the back 9 holes returning with 36 shots and upon removing his handicap, he was left with 29 for a total again of 62 nett, enough for a win by two.
In second place was junior player Adrian Andrade with a 64 nett, putting Jerry Jean-Baptiste in third with the same score.
Sonny Barra from Absa was on hand to present the prizes and he also presented awards to past winners starting with the month of January (Alex Ellenberger), February (Francis Mondon) and March (Axel Andrade) as these events were played after Covid-19 restrictions. Although, the restrictions were lifted there were protocols in place like no prize-giving.
The Seychelles Golf Club would like to thank Absa for their continuous support to golf, and wish everyone a Merry Christmas.
