President Ramkalawan holds talks with President of Madagascar
President Wavel Ramkalawan yesterday met with the President of Madagascar, Andry Rajoelina, on the sidelines of the UNFCCC’s COP26 Climate Change Conference, in Glasgow.
Discussions between the two heads of state were predominantly on priority subjects such as maritime security and illegal trafficking currently taking place in the south of Seychelles’ territory.
It was immediately agreed that before the end of the year a special conference will be organised through the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Seychelles and Madagascar.
The two heads of state also discussed the recent case of trafficking whereby the Seychelles’ authorities arrested a boat carrying 23.5kg of gold from Madagascar.
