President and First Lady congratulate Miss Seychelles 2020 on impressive performance at the Miss Intercontinental 2021 pageant |02 November 2021

President Wavel Ramkalawan has sent a congratulatory message to the reigning Miss Seychelles 2020, Kelly-Mary Annette, following her win as the 3rd runner-up during the Miss Intercontinental pageant, held on Friday evening in Egypt.

Kelly-Mary also won the title of Miss Continental Africa.
In his message President Ramkalawan writes:
“Dearest Kelly-Mary, Seychelles is beaming with pride today. For the first time in the history of the Miss Seychelles Pageant you have raised our flag to the highest level. Congratulations on your great achievement. You left with a clear goal to do your very best and you have indeed made us proud. You are a model for our youth. On behalf of the government and people of Seychelles, thank you and congratulations.”

In a separate message, First Lady Linda Ramkalawan has also sent her “warmest congratulations” to Kelly-Mary.

Mrs Ramkalawan is the Patron of Maylene’s Hope Foundation, which is Kelly-Mary’s foundation as part of her ‘Beauty with a purpose’ (BWAP) project. The work of the foundation as an NGO is aimed at empowering and providing emotional and psychological support to semi-orphans and orphans.

Mrs Ramkalawan says in her congratulatory message to Kelly-Mary:

“As a multi-talented young female professional, I have no doubt that with your new achievements and determination you will continue to spearhead the cause of the foundation to greater heights. May you be guided to continue working for the good of our youths and our communities in Seychelles. Once again congratulations for making us all so proud.”
