President meets other leaders on the sidelines of COP26 |02 November 2021

President Wavel Ramkalawan, who is taking part in the UNFCCC’s COP26 Climate Change Conference in Glasgow, has had the chance to meet with several African and world leaders and other dignitaries on the sidelines of this prestigious event.

Besides his meetings with the President of Madagascar Andry Rajoelina and Prime Minister of Mauritius Pravind Jugnauth (see stories on page 3), President Ramkalawan has also met with the President of Kenya, Uhuru Kenyatta; President of Zimbabwe, Emmerson Mnangagwa; the Emir of the State of Qatar, His Highness, Sheik Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani; President of Sri Lanka, Gotabaya Rajapaksa and Prime Minister of India Narendra Modi.

President Ramkalawan has also met with the President of the 76th session of the United Nations General Assembly, Abdulla Shahid.
