“Mrs Beaver will be remembered as a pioneer and protector of the Seychelles' green environment. She will be remembered for her 40 years of research and conservation work on our islands, and will remain a role model for every Seychellois for her passion as a conservationist. She was instrumental in bringing issues relating to the environment to national attention and creating awareness of the Seychelles biodiversity both nationally and internationally.
