Seychellois inmate passes away in Egypt

Seychellois prisoner incarcerated in Egypt since 2011, John Vinda, has passed away.

This was confirmed in a press release issued by the Seychelles’ Foreign Affairs department yesterday, stating it received this information from the Egyptian authorities.

The communique added that the Seychelles government was in contact with the Egyptian authorities to ascertain the circumstances surrounding his passing and to have his remains repatriated to Seychelles.
