UniSey commemorates World Press Freedom Day

In celebration of World Press Freedom Day on May 3, the department of Education, Languages and Media at the University of Seychelles held a commemorative event yesterday to promote media awareness and highlight the importance of press freedom in Seychelles.
Lecturer in Journalism and Communication, Samuel Mundua, said it was important to commemorate this day and join the rest of the world to celebrate freedom and raise awareness on the performance of media and journalists.
The event featured a senior judge who provided an in-depth explanation of media laws and press freedom to journalists, faculty members and other guests.
