SPGA organises special beach cleanup for Ste Anne Marine Park’s 52nd anniversary

To commemorate Ste Anne Marine Park’s 52nd Anniversary on March 19, the Seychelles Parks and Gardens Authority organised a special beach cleanup on the sandbank in the marine park, followed by guided snorkelling and discovery activity.

Partaking in this activity were some members of ‘SeyBlue’, the Perseverance secondary Eco-School team and other stakeholders based within the park such as JA Enchanted Island Resort and Cerf Island. Students had the opportunity to explore the history of Ste Anne, the various species inhabiting the marine park, and the historical background of neighbouring islands such as Cerf and Moyenne. This educational initiative provided an insight into the region’s ecological significance and cultural heritage.
