Disabled persons get two designated parking spaces in town
Two parking spaces in town have been earmarked for exclusive use by disabled persons.
The two at La Place de la République car park (Stad Popiler) and behind Oliaji Trade Centre, were revealed to local media by the Ministry of Transport and the Seychelles Land Transport Agency (SLTA) during a briefing yesterday morning.
The two parking spaces have been widened from their 2.5 metres to 3.6 metres, while maintaining the original length of five metres to enhance mobility and accessibility for people with disabilities.
