Calls for urgent global support to strengthen transport resilience amid climate threats

In a video interview shared online by the United Nations Economic Commission for Europe (UNECE), Seychelles’ Minister for Transport, Antony Derjacques, during his participation in the Inland Transport Committee meeting,reiterated key points about Seychelles' transport resilience and sustainability efforts, highlighting the country's commitment to climate action and infrastructure adaptation.

In his deliberations, Minister Derjacques said the country depends a lot on tourism and commercial fishing, however, with climate change, the effects it has had on sea level rising and coastal road erosions has proven to be an existential threat.
