Air Seychelles celebrates Silver Jubilee of Mauritius route
  •           Announces an increase in flights to three per week

Air Seychelles celebrates 25 years of operations between Seychelles and Mauritius today, Friday, March 31, 2023.

Earlier this week, passengers on flight HM049 to Mauritius – operated by the airline’s A320 aircraft – were invited to commemorate this milestone with specially made cupcakes on board.

The airline also celebrated this occasion with a silver jubilee promotion to Mauritius with booking dates between March 23-31, for travels until October 31, 2023.

First launched in March 1998, Air Seychelles currently operates twice weekly flights to Mauritius with additional flights made available during the peak seasons.

In a press release, acting chief executive Sandy Benoiton remarked, “today we celebrate a silver jubilee. 25 years of connecting people between our islands to those of our neighbour’s, Mauritius. I am extremely proud and honoured that the service has lasted for so many years, and yet continues to thrive”.

He also thanked past and future guests for their support throughout the years and for choosing to fly with the national airline.

“We are also thrilled to announce, that as from April, we will be increasing flights to three per week,” reads the statement.

Mauritius is a beautiful tropical island renowned for its coastal bounties with pristine beaches and extensive coral reefs set against the backdrop of sculptured volcanic mountain scenery. A short flight of two and a half hours from the main island of Mahé, it has become and remains a popular shopping and holiday destination for the Seychellois. In addition to Mauritius, the national carrier of Seychelles flies to Mumbai, Johannesburg and Tel Aviv while also operating charter flights on demand.
