SeyCCAT launches e-book – The Voice of Seagrass Meadows |31 March 2021
The Seychelles Conservation and Climate Adaptation Trust (SeyCCAT) has launched an e-book entitled ‘The Voice of Seagrass Meadows’.
The book, launched on Monday this week, features all submissions it received from the art and poem competition from November last year (2020).
A total of 43 submissions from six secondary schools on Mahé were received following the launch of The Voice of Seagrass Meadows, an art and poem competition, to commemorate SeyCCAT’s fifth anniversary last year.
The competition aimed to engage the students in using art to illustrate their understanding of seagrasses and their feelings and thoughts on its importance in combatting climate change
SeyCCAT decided to launch the e-book at the end of this month (March) to round up an active social media campaign it ran throughout the month to raise awareness on seagrasses. World-wide, March is the designated seagrass awareness month.
The e-book can be viewed on www.seyccat.org.
