Seychelles and China break ground on key housing project in Béolière

The foundation stone for a new affordable housing development was officially laid and a commemorative plaque unveiled by Seychelles’ President, Dr Patrick Herminie and Vice President of the People's Republic of China, Han Zheng on Saturday at Béolière, Port Glaud.

The implementation of this project will effectively improve the living conditions of local families, enhance the quality of life, promote public welfare, and contribute to the development of Seychelles’ housing security system. Moreover, it marks as a significant step in the government’s efforts to deliver 2,500 homes by 2028.
