Strong winds disrupt flights
Air travel to and within Seychelles was disrupted yesterday due to strong winds linked to severe weather conditions affecting the region.
An inbound Emirates flight from Dubai, EK707, was unable to land at the Seychelles International Airport yesterday afternoon after making two attempts. The aircraft was forced to divert to Dar es Salaam, Tanzania, where it landed at 3.38pm. The return flight from Seychelles to Dubai, scheduled for the same evening, was also cancelled as a result of the weather.
