Seypec supports sustainable developments on La Digue

Residents of La Digue and tourists visiting the island are benefiting from improved street lighting along the main road of La Passe thanks to a donation of five solar street lights from the Seychelles Petroleum Company.

The lights have been installed all along the road from the La Digue tourism office to the Logan Hospital.

The handing over ceremony to the island’s administration office was held in a ceremony yesterday morning. Present were the elected member of the National Assembly for La Digue Rocky Uranie, principal secretary of the department of climate change and energy, Tony Imaduwa, chief executive Sarah Romain of the Seychelles Petroleum Company (Seypec), and the company’s board members, chief executive of the Seychelles Ports Authority Sony Payet, the island's district administrator Barbara Barallon, the inner islands manager for Seychelles Land Transport Agency (SLTA) Terry Volcère, representatives from other key agencies and other high officials from Seypec.
