International NGO Day 2025 |28 February 2025
Ceps thanks NGOs for their hard work
On the occasion of International NGO Day 2025 celebrated yesterday, the Citizens Engagement Platform Seychelles (Ceps) has extended its sincere gratitude and appreciation to all civil society organisations in Seychelles for their hard work over the past year.
“We embrace the crucial roles of NGOs in creating a better world by addressing social, environmental, and humanitarian issues. They work tirelessly to bring positive changes and uplift our communities,” says Ceps in a message for the occasion.
The theme this year, ‘Empowering Grassroots Movements for a Sustainable Future’,emphasises the role of NGOs and other grassroots movements in driving sustainable development and creating lasting social change. These organisationsoften fill critical gaps in service delivery and advocate for marginalised communities.
“We need to celebrate the successes of NGOs! Through this celebration, let us spread awareness and inspire others to also come forward to support NGOs and other grassroots movements in their efforts to contribute to social causes in our society. Let us take time to reflect on new initiatives in the face of emerging challenges in our communities. We urge other individuals to join forces either with established NGOs or by creating new NGOS to help make a difference.
“Wishing all NGOs a happy NGO Week. Your work matters more than ever!”
