They are Sandy Benoiton who will be Air Seychelles’ new acting chief executive (CEO) and Tyrian Gendron who will be the new acting chief financial controller (CFO), the Ministry of Transport announced in a press release on Monday June 28.
As announced earlier this year by the Ministry of Transport, Etihad Aviation Group has sold its 40% holding in Air Seychelles to the government of Seychelles and will no longer be a shareholder in the Seychelles government-owned airline. Etihad’s management contract has also been terminated. However Remco Althuis and Michael Berlouis will remain on as CEO and CFO respectively until today, June 30, 2021 to assist with the transition.
Hence, in regards to their contract coming to an end, the Minister for Transport, Anthony Derjacques has approved the two new appointments on behalf of Air Seychelles’ shareholders after receiving recommendation from the board of Air Seychelles.
It is to be noted that Mr Benoiton is currently the chief operations officer of Air Seychelles and Mr Gendron is currently the financial controller of Air Seychelles.
