The outgoing British high commissioner to Seychelles, Caron Röhsler, will be the new UK ambassador to the Maldives

Ms Röhsler has been appointed Her Majesty's ambassador to the Republic of Maldives in succession to James Dauris.

This was announced in an official press release yesterday. The press release mentioned that “Ms Caron Röhsler has been appointed Her Majesty’s ambassador to the Republic of Maldives, as we open our new embassy in Malé. She will succeed Mr James Dauris who will be transferring to another Diplomatic Service appointment. Ms Röhsler will take up her appointment in September 2019.”

Ms Röhsler has been high commissioner to Seychelles since 2015.
