Ragul Pillay of Setychelles is the winner of the World Web Chess Workers’ Day Rapid tournament played on Sunday May 2.
An economist by profession, Pillay finished with 7 points, followed in second place by Mauritian Oomesh Daworaj with 6 points.
Also with 6 points but in third place was Navin Pillay of Seychelles.
Other than Seychelles and Mauritius, chesslers from the Philippines, Turkey, Morocco and India took part in the tournament with matches played over 10 minutes.
