Chess: World Web Chess Blitz Arena Mauritian Stephane Lam clinches competition number three |29 April 2021
Following the triumph of local players in the previous competitions, Mauritian Stephane Lam stepped up his game to win the third World Web Chess Blitz Arena competition hosted by the Seychelles Chess Federation during the weekend.
The virtual tournament attracted players from Mauritius, Seychelles, Zambia, France and Bosnia.
Lam finished top with 45 points, while second-placed Zambian Zacharia Kafuko collected a total of 39 points.
Ragul Pillay of Seychelles was third overall on 35 points, ahead of compatriot Harish Pillay who clinched fourth spot after collecting 32 points.
With 22 points, Seenu Anandan finished fifth overall.
