Independent School closes after students test positive for Covid-19 |20 April 2021
The Independent School remained closed yesterday to clean and disinfect rooms after two students tested positive for coronavirus.
According to a communiqué released by the school yesterday, on Friday April 16, 2021 they received confirmation by the respective parents that two students from primary, one in kindergarten and one in secondary, had been confirmed, as per test results, positive for Covid-19.
The communiqué added that the school immediately notified parents with children from affected classes about the situation and were advised to monitor their child(ren) of any symptoms. Senior management met over the weekend and a decision was taken to close the school on Monday April 19, 2021 to enable rooms to be cleaned and disinfected.
The school has now sent a third letter to parents with details of online learning and return to full teaching for S5 and A-Levels.
