Côte d’Or, St Louis know path to first round
SeyPearl league division one champions Côte d’Or and Gran Kaz Cup winners St Louis know their opponents and their path to the first round of the two club competitions organised by the Confederation of African Football.
Praslin side Côte d’Or have been drawn against Fomboni FC of the Comoros in a two-legged first-round tie in the preliminary round of the Confederation of African Football (Caf) Champions League.
They will travel to the Comoros for the away match during the weekend of August 9-11 before hosting the Comorian side during the weekend of August 23-25.
In the event of a win on aggregate score, Côte d’Or will progress to the first round where they will play either last season's South African Premier Soccer League (PSL) title winners Mamelodi Sundowns or AS Otoho d'Oyo, the champions of Congo-Brazzaville.
As for St Louis, they will play in the Caf Confederation Cup and have been drawn against TS Galaxy, who play in South Africa’s National First Division (NFD) and will be making their debut in the continental tournament.
Coach Michel Renaud’s St Louis will face TS Galaxy away first during the weekend of August 9-11 before welcoming the return match during the weekend of August 23-25.
Should St Louis advance‚ they will meet Malagasy side Caisse Nationale de Prévoyance Sociale Sport‚ better known as CnaPS‚ in the next stage.
