MCB Seychelles contributes R700,000 to Covid-19 Relief Fund

Staff of MCB all united to combat Covid-19

The Covid-19 relief fund has attracted contributions from many businesses and individuals since it was created on January 15, 2021.

The latest contributor, MCB Seychelles, has responded to the President’s call to support this national effort to fight the pandemic by contributing R700,000 to the Covid-19 relief fund.

Over the past year, the Bank had already made donations in kind to the tune of R200,000 for the quarantine centres, reusable scrubs and computer equipment for nursing staff.

Through these solidarity measures, the Bank has reaffirmed its commitment to ongoing initiatives to protect the population and accelerate the recovery of the Seychelles economy.

Speaking to our newspaper, Bernard Jackson, managing director of MCB Seychelles, noted that “the MCB Group is committed to strongly support its key stakeholders as they tackle the violent shocks of the pandemic. Through our previous donations and this financial contribution to the Covid-19 relief fund, we wish to confirm our dedication to the good health and prosperity of the citizens of Seychelles”.
