La Passe and Revengers share the points

La Digue side La Passe had to fight back twice to share a 2-2 draw with Praslin team Revengers at Stad Amitié on Saturday afternoon in an Inner island first division Transitional League encounter.

Revengers’ Malagasy striker Marthelin put his team in the lead as early as the 6th minute but young La Passe striker Assad Abdou levelled matters three minutes later for a 1-1 score at half-time.

Revengers re-established their advantage in the 52nd minute courtesy of a goal by Darren Leon but the competition’s top scorer Malagasy Florent netted in the 83rd minute to help La Passe to a 2-2 draw which keeps them in contention to win this competition along with reigning SeyPearl league champions Côte d’Or who are also battling for the Inner Island Transitional League title. Meanwhile, the Transitional league fixtures for Mahé teams were postponed over the weekend as the St Louis and St Michel clash was cancelled for the fourth time this season and will now take place after the Indian Ocean Island Games.

St Louis and Northern Dynamo are slugging it out to win the competition on Mahé with the Gran Kaz champions, who are unbeaten in the Transitional league, still to play Au Cap whereas Northern Dynamo have completed their campaign.
