Deaf children spend day of fun, excitement at Le Relax Hotel

A group of a dozen children of different ages with hearing impairment as well as some children of deaf parents last week spent a day of fun and excitement at Le Relax Hotel at Anse Royale.

As has been the case for several years now, the hotel invites deaf children for a copious lunch and a day of fun activities and swimming in the hotel’s swimming pool to coincide with the festive season.

Anita Gardner, the chairperson of the Association of People with Hearing Impairment (Aphi), said the group of excited children enjoyed their day to the fullest.

“They spent a wonderful time and they look forward to this special day and the association thanks Le Relax which has for many years organised such activities at the end of the year for this group of children,” said Ms Gardner.

“The children really enjoyed the swimming pool and we also taught them how to swim,” she added.

Other than the fun in the swimming pool the children partook in a delicious and copious lunch prepared by the hotel’s chef.

“Aphi takes the opportunity to wish Mr Pranav Pandhi, the manager of Le Relax, and his team for their warm welcome, the delectable lunch and friendly atmosphere,” said Ms Gardner.

The association wishes all its faithful sponsors and supporters a Happy and prosperous New Year 2021.
