Hilton Seychelles brings Christmas joy to President’s Village |29 December 2020
Hilton Seychelles Hotels, comprising Hilton Seychelles Labriz Resort & Spa, Hilton Seychelles Northolme Resort & Spa and DoubleTree by Hilton Seychelles Allamanda Resort & Spa, made wishes come true this Christmas with Santa bringing gifts and a cake to the President’s Village children’s home at Port Glaud.
A group of representatives from all three properties set off to spread Christmas joy with an employee dressed up as Santa, meeting and giving out gifts to children. The group obtained the names of the children beforehand and delivered each gift with a personal note. After the gift presentation, the children enjoyed the cake and drinks brought by Hilton team for a full-on celebration.
The initiative forms part of Hilton’s corporate social responsibility programme and The Hilton Effect, which is the positive, world-altering impact that Hilton has had, and continues to have, on billions of lives and thousands of communities around the globe – pioneering new travel markets and bringing people and cultures together to make the world feel smaller, while expanding horizons and opportunities.
Hilton Group in Seychelles also made it clear that the donations will keep flowing to those in need from all three hotels.
On her part the manager of the President’s Village, Brigitte Balette, noted that Hilton Seychelles has been a long-term partner of the children’s home and she extended her gratitude.
“I would like to say a big thank you to those bringing joy to the village. All children are really happy and feel privileged to experience Christmas in this way. Thank you for still helping and supporting us during these difficult times and I am looking forward to this partnership to continue in 2021,” added Ms Balette.
Andre Borg and Daniele Fabbri, general managers of Hilton Seychelles, stated that the partnership and support will continue throughout 2021 as well and hopefully will be taken one step further. “We are grateful to the community we live in and will do our best to support as much as possible. Giving is not just making a donation, it’s about making a difference. We try to make a difference by making children smile during these difficult times,” said Messrs Borg and Fabbri.
