Handball - Knockout and plate competition finals this Saturday |15 September 2020

The finals of the Seychelles Handball Federation Knockout and plate competitions will be played on Saturday September 19 at the Palais des Sports.

Au Cap Sisters will meet MF Storm in the women’s final at 4pm and this encounter will be followed by the men’s final between Super 8 and Durantha Brothers at 5.15pm.

Earlier in the afternoon, there will be the plate finals. Anse Royale will clash with Pearls United in a women’s match at 1.30pm and AC Brothers will play Silver Stars in a men’s encounter at 2.45pm.

The competition started last weekend with the semifinals played at the Palais des Sports.

In the first women’s match, Au Cap Sisters beat Anse Royale 26-13 to set up a final showdown with rivals MF Storm who dispatched Pearls United 23-7.

In the men’s competition, Durantha Brothers posted a 28-21 victory against AC Brothers while Super 8 eliminated Silver Stars on a 28-12 score.

All semifinal matches were played over 40 minutes running time (20 minutes each half) but the organisers have decided that this coming Saturday’s finals will be played over 40 minutes stop clock (20 minutes each half).
