Daniella Athanase wins President’s Cup

 

Daniella Athanase won the President’s Cup for being an outstanding student with no absenteeism and lateness in the annual graduation ceremony of the National Institute of Health and Social Studies in partnership with the Chamberlain University.

Eighty-two other students graduated during yesterday’s ceremony held at the International Conference Centre of Seychelles (ICCS) upon completion of their Masters, Bachelor of Science, Advance Diploma, Diploma and Certificate programmes.

Daniella Athanase received the President’s Cup from Minister Mitcy Larue, who represented President Danny Faure for the occasion.

The other awardees in the different categories were: Certificate in Health Care – Audrey Bedier (Best academic performer) and Tyler Campbell Williams (Best in practice), Diploma in Nursing – Daniella Athanase (Best academic performer) and Rhonda Youpa (Best in practice), Diploma in Pharmaceutical Sciences – Nerrie Florentine (Best academic performer) and Remy Julie (Best in practice), Bachelor of Science in nursing – Stephanie Charlette (Best student), Master of Science in nursing – Deborah Quatre (Best student), Best Evidence-based project for MSN – Jacqueline Paulin; Best effort student (SNYC) award – Reuben De Letourdie and the Best person centered-care student – Tyler Campbell Williams.

Present at the awards ceremony were Minister Larue, Minister Jean-Paul Adam, Minister Jeanne Simeon, Ambassador Erna Athanasius, Health Care Agency chief executive Dr Danny Louange, NIHSS director Marylene Lucas and Professor Jill Price from the Chamberlain University and other representatives from the Ministry of Health, stakeholders and parents.
