Table tennis team on China training camp
As the clock ticks and the days near for the 10th Indian Ocean Island Games scheduled for July 19-28, 2019 in Mauritius, the Seychelles teams rush to put the final touches to their preparation.
On Tuesday night, a 13-member table tennis delegation flew out to Guangzhou, China for a 20-day training camp.
The female players on the team are Christy Kilindo (formerly Bristol), Laura Sinon, Aurelie Toussaint and Margaret Chang-Time, while the male players are Godfrey Sultan, Mick Crea, Dorian Banane, Nicholas Esther, Mario De Charmoy Lablache and Garry Elizabeth.
Shanghai-based Annissa Benstrong is expected to join the team in Guangzhou, while Fatima Boniface has not made the trip as she is still recovering from an injury.
Coach Janice Mellie and Seychelles Table Tennis Association (STTA) chairman Francis Remie are also part of the delegation.
