Dr Murthy launches new cricket team

Dr Murthy's Medical and Gastro Clinic launched a new cricket team on Friday February 28. The team named ‘Dr Murthy's Deevas Kings’ will play in the Seychelles Cricket league starting from this year.

Present at the ceremony were the owner of the cricket team Dr Murthy, the secretary of the Seychelles Cricket Association Neel Rao and the players of the team.

The launch happened on the premises of Dr Murthy's Eye Clinic where Dr Murthy himself gave a short motivational speech and wished the players to come out successfully in the upcoming tournament.

He also thanked the members of the Seychelles Cricket Association for attending the event.

Mr Neel wished the new team good luck and mentioned that they are free to contact the SCA anytime for any kind of help they would need.

The team will be captained by Deepak Radhakrishnan who stated that “the ‘Dr Murthy's Deevas Kings’ are a team who competed in the domestic softball cricket tournaments over the years. When we wanted to compete in the cricket league we needed a sponsor to support us. On this note I thank Dr Murthy for coming forward to own this team and provide us with all necessary cricket gears and uniform. I thank the SCA for being present here today and supporting us. We are looking forward for the upcoming tournament."

Dr Murthy distributed the uniform/kit to all the players followed by refreshments.
