10 Seychellois journalists on one-week familiarisation trip in India

Ten senior journalists and media personnel are visiting India from February 23-29, 2020 on a familiarisation trip organised by the Indian Ministry of External Affairs.

The journalists are Rassin Vanier and Daniel Laurence of Seychelles News Agency, Barbara Coopoosamy and Georgette Hoareau of Seychelles Broadcasting Corporation (SBC), Laura Pillay of Seychelles NATION (National Information Services Agency), Rina Dine of State House Press Office, Estelle Chang Thiou and Veronica Maria of Today in Seychelles, Patsy Athanase, freelance journalist/K Radio, and Rita Lawen-Joubert of Telesesel.

The first leg of the six-day tour started off in Bangalore (Bengalaru) in South Indian mega polis where during their three-day stay they will visit historical and cultural sites, interact with major institutions including the Indian Space Research Organisation and visit the world famous Infosys campus.

On the second leg of their tour, the journalists will visit the capital, New Delhi which will include meeting with senior officials of the Indian government and visits to institutions.

A visit to Agra to see the ‘Taj Mahal’ is also included in their itinerary.
