Cana Zone IV Swimming Championships |22 February 2020

 Three gold medals for Seychelles

Seychelles has so far won 14 medals – three gold, five silver and six bronze – after two days of competition at the ongoing Confédération Africaine de Natation Amateur Zone IV Swimming Championships in Gaborone, Botswana.

In the University of Botswana’s 50m swimming pool, Isabelle Labuschagne won two gold medals in the women’s 12 years and under 100m backstroke (1:15.60) and 50m back (34.31 seconds). The other gold medal has been won by Joshua Miller in the men’s 15-16 years 200m breaststroke (2:29.62).

The silver medallists are Alexander Payet in men’s 12 years and under 50 backstroke (34.52 seconds), Damien Payet in the men’s 15 years and over 800m freestyle (9:08.18), Mathieu Bachmann in the men’s 17 years and over 50m breaststroke (30.42 seconds), Fred Tyler in the men’s 17 years and over 100m backstroke (1:03.12) and Joshua Miller in the men’s 15-16 years 50m breaststroke (31.17 seconds).

The six bronze medals have been won by Lilianna Mason in the women’s 13-14 years 200m breaststroke (3:02.52), Nathan Nagapin in the men’s 13-14 years 200m breaststroke (2:45.43) and 50m breaststroke (33.59 seconds), Fred Tyler in the men’s 17 years and over 50m backstroke (28.66 seconds), Alexander Payet in the men’s 12 years and under 50m breaststroke (37.04 seconds) and the men’s 15 years and over 200m medley relay team of Tyler Fred, Joshua Miller, Alain Vidot and Mathieu Bachmann (1:51.79).
