The people who built Seychelles tourism: Alain St Ange begins a history of the industry   |07 November 2026

Former Tourism Minister Alain St Ange is inviting families and collectors to share photographs that can help bring the early years of Seychelles tourism back into view.

During a recent working visit to London, Ambassador St Ange announced that he is preparing a history of Seychelles tourism. Titled ‘Seychelles Tourism History through the Eyes of Alain St Ange’, the book will trace the industry from the era of the Messageries Maritime and B.I. ships through the people and places that shaped its growth across the islands.
