Seychelles eyes Indian Cadet model for youth development

A delegation from Seychelles has completed a week-long study tour of India’s National Cadet Corps (NCC), paving the way for closer cooperation between the two countries and the possible development of a similar youth programme in Seychelles.

The visit, held from October 4 to 9, 2026, followed high-level discussions between President Patrick Herminie and Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi during the President’s State Visit to India in February, as well as Prime Minister Modi’s subsequent visit to Seychelles for the country’s 50th Independence Day celebrations.
