President Herminie recovering from bad flu

President Patrick Herminie is recovering quite well from a bad flu, First Lady Veronique Herminie has written on her Facebook page.

It was a message to slow down and take some much-needed rest, she added.

On behalf of her family, the First Lady has thanked everyone for the outpouring of love from all the messages of support, comfort and encouragement.

Our health professionals and facilities need to be commended for their efficiency in diagnosis and treatment. We are blessed, added Mrs Herminie.

Meanwhile, State House has confirmed that President Herminie will not attend the Russia-Africa Summit.

President Herminie was admitted to the Seychelles Hospital for observation, according to a press release from State House yesterday.
