The launch of Google and 365 Digital in Seychelles marks a significant step in the country's digital transformation, bringing new opportunities for businesses to strengthen their online presence and reach customers more effectively.
Held earlier this week at the Savoy Resort & Spa in Beau Vallon, the event brought together government officials, business leaders and international partners to celebrate what organisers described as a new chapter in Seychelles' digital economy.
Speaking at the launch, 365 Digital chief executive Julian Jordaan said the company's mission extends beyond selling advertising space.
“We are here to equip, inspire and educate,” he said, stressing that technology should serve as an enabler for businesses rather than a burden.
Quoting an African proverb, Mr Jordaan added: “If you want to go fast, go alone. But if you want to go far, go together”, highlighting the collaborative approach behind the initiative.
Seychelles was presented as an attractive market for digital growth, with internet penetration exceeding 80 per cent and mobile connectivity reaching more than 167 per cent of the population.
