Former PS Renaud says Travizory deal driven by Covid-19 border reopening
Former principal secretary for Civil Aviation, Ports & Marine Alan Renaud told the Commission of Inquiry into the Border Management Service Agreement between Seychelles and Travizory Border Security SA that the decision to engage the Swiss company was driven by the urgency of reopening the country's borders during the Covid-19 pandemic.
Mr Renaud was one of two witnesses heard during yesterday's public hearing at the Palais de Justice on Île du Port. While he testified in open session, the second witness gave evidence behind closed doors.
