SIAH wants students to see beyond traditional farming

The Seychelles Institute of Agriculture and Horticulture (SIAH) is seeking to change perceptions of agriculture and encourage young people to see the sector as extending beyond traditional farming, newly appointed director Barry Nourice said yesterday.

Mr Nourice was speaking during the SIAH Info Day and Post-Erasmus Project Summer School presentation held at Laïla Resort in Anse Royale. The event brought together students from S4 and S5, the Seychelles Institute of Technology (SIT), Seychelles Advanced Level Studies (Sals), professional centres, as well as teachers, career guidance officers and other stakeholders.
