B-Challenge reign supreme in women’s final
- PLS Legends lift men’s Division Two crown
B-Challenge of Bel Air were crowned women’s champions, while PLS Legends secured the men’s Division Two title after both sides came through decisive game three victories in the Seychelles Basketball Federation finals series at Victoria Gymnasium on Saturday.
B-Challenge defeated HotShots of Anse Boileau 50-37 to clinch the women’s championship, completing a 2-1 series victory after the two sides had traded wins in the opening games.
In the men’s Division Two final, PLS Legends recovered from a difficult start to edge the other Anse Boileau side AB Boys 75-73 and claim the championship by the same 2-1 margin.
Both finals provided plenty of drama, with neither champions able to complete a clean sweep. Instead, B-Challenge and PLS Legends had to negotiate the pressure of a winner-takes-all third game before finally getting their hands on the silverware.
