Beyond: From a lockdown idea to a platform for young dancers

What began as an idea during the silence of the Covid‑19 lockdown has grown into a platform that gives young Seychellois dancers a place to shine, build confidence, and discover their potential.

For Gael Guichard, the journey of Beyond started in 2020, when entertainment had effectively come to a standstill. With performances cancelled and dancers left without a stage, he began thinking about how dance could reach audiences in a different way. His answer was television.
